The Latin American Spanish dubbing is characterized to use some translation techniques such as censorship and euphemism, due to the fact that some dialogues can be considered as an offensive language to the target cultures. However, it was found some audiovisual products that were dubbed into Latin American Spanish do not follow this cultural regulation. In the case of the comedy genre which include ethnic and racial groups, their identities may be represented in a different way in the AVT. This could happen due to the manipulation of the dialogues. The purpose of this research is to analyze the fields of Latin American Spanish dubbing and ethnic and racial stereotyped humor. This will be done through an analysis of the stereotyped speeches found in the movie saga Rush Hour, in which a contrast will be made between the language used in the English version and the Latin American Spanish dubbed version. For this, two techniques would be: the content analysis technique, to find the way in which humor is built through stereotypes; and, the contrastive textual analysis technique, to analyze the techniques used in the translation process of the jokes and the new representation given to the ethnic and racial groups in the Latin American Spanish dubbed audiovisual product.
