The problem of appropriate frequency determination to improve passenger conditions is a concern for all public transit systems as they have a high passenger demand due to lower costs in comparison to private transport and are therefore economically attractive to people. This research is focused on the supply-demand analysis during morning peak hour in the Metropolitano de Lima trunk routes BRT system. The research aims to get the frequencies and headways efficient, for that purpose it is first realized origin destination surveys, using this data it is obtained an OD matrix. Likewise, it was necessary to get data on service conditions such as the bus capacity, route length, average speed, and trip time, as well as other data. After identifying demand and system data, we proceeded to carry out the calculation methodology to determine bus frequencies for each transit route. For this purpose, four calculation methods are presented that allow us to obtain the number of buses needed in the morning peak hour, in order to then make a comparison with the existing fleet. Finally, a simulation with TransCAD software is applied to validate the model and proceed to assess and compare the performance of the proposed alternatives.
