Using the foundations proposed by Newton and Leibniz, differential equations are those expressions capable of describing physical phenomena with great precision. Since the derivatives are the mathematical representation of the change. With this premise we can understand its applications within engineering fields. This research contains the development of the computational model of the generalized Poisson-Laplace equation, through numerical resolution in MATLAB software and using the Finite Element Method. Within this we can see the development of said equation and the ability to describe various phenomenon within Solid Mechanics, such as: Transverse Deflection of Strings, Heat Transfer and Axial Deformation in Members. In addition, we are aware of its versatility in other fields such as Fluid Mechanics and Electricity. After reviewing the literature, a comparison with other investigations was carried out.
