The aim of the study was to explore the experiences of spirituality in the rehabilitation process of a group of drug addicts belonging to the Narcotics Anonymous program. For this purpose, a qualitative study was developed with 10 recovering addicts who participated in the application of a semi-structured interview. The main results indicate that spirituality is present in the recovery process of the participants. They use the tools of spirituality to stay sober, with which they have found a sense of life and a vocation to serve others, a sense of belonging or identity, and well-being (fullness) in their lives. In the same way, it has been identified that spirituality has helped the participants to integrate adequately in their families, manifesting itself, in some cases, in family practices of spirituality. It concluded that spirituality plays the role of a protective factor in the process of recovery from drug dependence and that it favors the restructuring of the addicts' lifestyles.
