This study aimed to see the relationship between family functionality and stress. As well as identifying the differences according to gender and career. An associative strategy study was proposed with a simple and comparative correlational design on 240 Health Science students (80.6% women) between 16 and 29 years old. The results showed that there was an inverse correlation between stress and family functionality. Significant differences were found between positive and negative stress in favor of women. No significant differences were found between positive stress according to career. However, differences were found between negative stress and family functionality according to career. The conclusion was, the higher the family functionality, the lower the stress levels.
