This project will serve as a prototype of a Health Center specialized in Community Mental Health (CSMC), which arises as a response to the social need, and the adequate infrastructure of public health that the country needs. The (CSMC) will supply a Sector of Lima East, especially the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, it is necessary to emphasize that the mentioned district needs several prototypes of (CSMC) since one of these will not supply the entire existing population. The Mental Health Center will work hand in hand with a protected home, which will house patients (with primary level mental health problems) in a temporary but not permanent way, avoiding pointing to a typology of “prison model“ such as asylums. The project's emphasis is on “Neuroarchitecture“ which is based on how architectural space can affect people's mental state, which is why the project takes as its main objective the importance of generating efficient, meaningful and emotional spaces. This is seen through natural ventilation and lighting (I use lattices, windows, skylights, double and triple heights), the entry of green areas (interior patios, gardens, orchards), chromotherapy (in common rooms and bedrooms). Which were part of the achieved design, without losing the functionality of a Hospital architecture.
