Leisure is considered a normal good in economic theory, leisure does not have a definite price, so the economic literature considers it as the marginal cost of quitting work, that is, what it does not receive from income for offering its work. On the other hand, working allows individuals to receive an income that will be used to cover their consumption basket and thus obtain a utility throughout their life cycle. In this sense, the individual will decide to stop working when he can cover his basic consumption basket for the rest of the time that remains in his life cycle. For this, pension system plays a fundamental role in accumulating a percentage of the income of individuals, during their work stage. In this way, the contributions of individuals will be invested in portfolios and when the individual decides to withdraw from the labor market, the pension system will return their contributions in the form of pensions. The present research work analyzes the early retirement decision of individuals and how it is affected by receiving extraordinary income at least once before entering a state of inactivity. For the estimation of the model, logit and probit nonlinear probability econometric models were used; concluding that receiving extraordinary income positively influences the decision of individuals to retire early.
