The objective of this research work is to analyze the graphic representations of mythological cultural references of ancient Peru, pre-Inca and Inca, inserted in the illustrations of the Peruvian comic Ayar, the legend of the inkas (2018) and to recognize what elements make up its visual representation, in relation between the comic and the legends that inspired it, as well as the visual elements that were incorporated in the development of this plot; being the present an investigation that contributes to the field of knowledge, since in this, the developed images have a direct correspondence with the graphic manifestations of the pre-Hispanic cultures of Peru, but proposing a contemporary representation of these. For this reason, this research proposes to contrast the visual representation of the mythological characters of ancient Peru, their worldview, clothing and symbolic elements, among other details, found in manifestations of historical prevalence, as well as previous graphic expressions in various textile formats, ceramics, among others. others. To this end, relevant material on research that delve into this historical-cultural field and graphic reinterpretations of mythology in comics has been reviewed. The approach to be developed in this thesis is a qualitative model, following an explanatory descriptive study.
