The COVID-19 generated anxiety, sadness and loneliness among people owing to the mandatory social isolation, increasing virtuality and the use of social networks. This research aims to determine the relationship between Loneliness and Social Network Addiction among 146 university students (109 women, 37 men) aged 18 to 30 years. The research design is correlational and non-probability snowball sampling type. The De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale and The Social Network Addiction Questionnaire (SNA) were applied. Positive correlations were found, being Loneliness and Network Obsession the most strongly related to each other, while the total of SNA, lack of control and excessive use have a lower magnitude. Furthermore, significant differences were found between the scores compared by gender; however, they were of low magnitude. Finally, people who use social networks for five or more hours per day tend to be lonelier.
