Demand Driven Material Requirement Planning (DDMRP) is a methodology that allows optimizing the flow of materials, in inventory management. In this article, an investigation of the DDMRP methodology in a non-metallic mining processing plant in Lima, Peru is presented. The purpose of this research is to develop an inventory management model focused on service level compliance, guaranteeing an effective investment of capital in stocks with substantial support from demand forecasting methods and the DDMRP materials planning methodology. The results of the company under study show a reduction in inventory levels by 46.27%, while logistics indicators such as coverage and turnover are improved.
