The economic evaluation of investment projects in oil industry is influenced by economic and social factors external .Wich contribute risk factors; For this, it is important to have financial evaluation tools that provide results for adequate decision making when making investments in oil wells. To evaluate the viability of investment in a project that increases production, a financial evaluation was carried out as a study tool. For the cash flow, the income resulting from the incremental production that the project would provide, the operating expenses of the project, the rates of the Peruvian sector and economic indicators were considered. From this, the NPV and present value of the project are obtained with the scenarios without influence of Covid-19 and another Post. Covid-19. The latter shows an impact on the economic results of the project. Alternatives were proposed to the resulting evaluation using the real options methodology, which added a value significantly higher than that obtained by the traditional NPV. Also, a quantitative analysis is presented of: Risk impact of variables such as the price of oil (highly volatile), days of non-production which were sensitized by the Montecarlo method, seeking to reflect the most approximate reality. This analysis was incorporated into the real options through strategic decisions such as to expand, contract and abandon an investment project under possible parameters of upward or downward trajectories and neutral probability data through binomial trees for each case.
