Nowadays, independent art in Peru and the world is a cultural expression that still struggles to become visible, especially in those segments dominated by a more commercial art. Beginner or lesser-known illustrators and graphic designers experience a need for exposure not only to be able to live from their profession, but also because in a context dominated by social media; success is measured by followers and likes. Given this, new artists are constantly searching for ways to help their work reach more people. How to give independent artists an exhibition window that also allows them to generate some kind of income? Could they go back to more traditional channels to achieve it? In this context, it is important to highlight that it is young university students who have a greater attraction for independent art and they turn out to be an attractive market when it comes to products related to culture. This situation, coupled with the need of artists for a more massive means of exposure, allowed to generate the idea of creating a new alternative for a tool widely used by university students, which due to its portable feature becomes something exposed in several places and for several people: a notebook. Thus, Rombook is born. Rombook is a proposal that differs by gathering multiple customizable organizational features while promoting independent art through its cover, becoming more than just a notebook. The target market points to modern and sophisticated lifestyles, especially for university students in Metropolitan Lima, between men and women; with a desire to differentiate and express their personality through art. To estimate the market size, the successive ratios method was used. A potential market of 151,600 university students in Lima was obtained for Rombook. In addition, it was determined that sales of 48,549 Soles (PEN) will be received in the first year of operations. Thus, Rombook proposes to become a brand that contributes to a culture that values and appreciates independent art, while being a special window for its exhibition.
