The purpose of this research work is to determine the factors that contribute to the export increase of fresh ginger produced in Junín region between 2012 and 2018. During that period, rhizome exporters went from exporting less than four million dollars to more than twenty million (SUNAT, 2019). To begin, the theoretical bases determined to carry out this research will be explained, as well as the background of ginger and Peruvian exports. Three hypotheses were raised to identify the influential factors in the increase of ginger exports. The characteristics of the exporters were analyzed, such as their experience and knowledge. Likewise, it is stated that the support provided by state entities such as PromPerú and OCEX had a positive impact. Finally, it is proposed that the adaptation to standards and the obtaining of certificates by the exporters contributed to the increase. Likewise, the quantitative research method was used for the execution of this investigation, for which information collected was used such as: SUNAT statistical data and surveys with exporters. This information was processed in the SPSS statistical software under the Factorial Analysis Model.
