The sample was comprised of 7 participants: 4 men and 3 women between the ages of 21 and 25 who are in their first year of residence in the city. To understand the phenomenon of study, categories were detached from the theoretical model of migratory grief, using the technique of thematic analysis of information. The results shows that this phenomenon is a recurring and multiple grief. In addition, it was found that migrants do not wish to return to their country unless the situation in it changes. On the other hand, migration is accompanied by feelings of loneliness and experiences that generated frustration. However, despite the difficulties encountered in the migration process, migration has also meant a learning and adaptation process in which participants developed skills that facilitated their incorporation into Peruvian society. Among those that mainly related to social interaction with local inhabitants were unleashed such as: how to start a conversation, ask for references, know what words to use and which not, etc.
