The subject of this research paper focuses on “communication with the signaling elements at the points of sale in relation to the buying decision process in supermarkets, by Shoppers from 20 to 40 years of age, of socioeconomic level B, of the districts of Chorrillos, Barranco, Surco and Miraflores”. For its development, the content is divided into three parts: introduction, three chapters (theoretical framework, methodology and results) and conclusions (discussion and implications for management). The research methodology is of a “correlational” nature, because it seeks to analyze the relationship between the variables involved in the proposed research topic. A mixed approach is also intended, which will have quantitative and qualitative analysis to enrich the study. The results of the study range from the purchase process at the point of sale in the supermarket format by the primary target audience to the recognition of the degree of communication relationship with the signaling elements and the buying decision process at the point of sale. On the one hand, the quantitative study allowed us to focus on the variables and indicators considered. Finally, the quantitative results allowed to determine the existence of a relationship or association, between the chosen variables: communication with the signaling elements and the buying decision process.
