Objective: To compare, evaluate and correlate the superior and inferior mesiodistal width of the permanent first molars, superior and inferior bicanine width and superior and inferior arch width of digital study models vs plaster study models. Material and methods: 60 orthodontic plaster study models and their 60 digital pairs were measured. The mesiodistal width of the permanent first molars, bicanine width and arch width of the plaster study models were measured with a digital caliper and the digital study models were measured with the Meshmixer 3.5 software. The collected data was analyzed by means of descriptive statistics; Student’s t-test for paired samples and Pearson correlation were applied for the comparison and correlation of the variables respectively. Results: According to measures of central tendency, the results between the plaster and digital models are similar to each other. The Student’s t-test for paired samples showed no statistical significant differences. The Pearson correlation test obtained highly positive correlations between the two groups of study models with a coefficient that oscillates between 0.991 and 0.999; also, statistical significance was found in every variable (p<0.001). Conclusion: The results of the measurements were similar between each other. There were no statistical significant differences when comparing the measurements of the plaster models with the digital ones.
