Abstract: For the present investigation, the hypothesis was that in a social network brand community, the types of content that could generate a greater engagement or that could capture the most of attention of the audience studied, are the interactive contents, such as videos. For qualitative research, objectives are proposed oriented to the communication strategy used by brands in the communities and what are the purpose of these. In addition, it seeks to know the opinion of experts on the subject, to know what are the types of contents that running brand communities usually use more to reach their users, as well as the opinion of members of different communities through a focus group to be able to validate the hypothesis. This was supported by a quantitative research, in which surveys were conducted on a sample of the investigation audience, which validated that the types of contents that generates the most engagement are the interactives ones, but not necessarily as a first option videos, but photos, in which users could share these in their social networks to share the activities they perform.
