Literary translation, addressed from the polysystemic approach of Even-Zohar and Lefevere, has been studied throughout the years in different countries. Nonetheless, there are few studies about the literary translation system in Peru. In fact, according to Ricardo Silva-Santisteban (2013), it is difficult to find publication spaces for translated literature in the Peruvian context. Nevertheless, the creation of Lucerna Journal in 2012 provided a publication space for Peruvian literary translators. In this case study, the role and development of literary translation in the publishing project of Lucerna will be analyzed: from the development of interactions among the agents involved in the publishing process to their discourses regarding literary translation. For this purpose, semistructured interviewing was used for data collection to analyze the perspectives of both editors and translators involved in the publication of literary translations in Lucerna Journal.
