This research was conducted with the purpose of describing the happiness and organizational commitment of millennials of a financial institution in Lima. The study method is descriptive-correlational, non-experimental cross-sectional design. This research used two measuring instruments. The first was the Lima Happiness Scale (Alarcón, 2006) and the second was the Meyer and Allen Organizational Commitment Scale (1993). The study evaluated 94 collaborators, of which 41 were women and 53 men. In relation to their stay at the Bank, 29 were less than 1 year (and more than 6 months), 29 between 1 to 3 years, and 36 more than 4 years. According to their occupational category, 13 were bosses, 49 professionals and 31 held initial positions. The results obtained in the statistical analysis indicate a strong correlation between the constructs of Happiness and Organizational Commitment (0.80), as well as strong correlations between the dimensions of Affective Commitment (0.87) and Continuity Commitment (0.76) with Happiness. A moderate correlation was found between the Normative Commitment and Happiness dimension (0.28). Regarding the dimensions of Happiness, a strong correlation was found between Organizational Commitment and Joy of Living (0.80), and Organizational Commitment and Satisfaction with Life (0.76). On the other hand, a strong moderate correlation was identified between Organizational Commitment and Personal Achievement (0.69) and a moderate correlation between Organizational Commitment and Positive Sense of Life (0.33).
