The main objective of this investigation was to determine the influence of the use of Chavimochic sediments and lime for the stabilization of sandy soils in the Virú - Puerto Morín - La Libertad 2022 bypass section. The research was of an applied type and the research design that was worked on was experimental - quasi-experimental. Three test pits were made, of which characterization tests were carried out, such as granulometry, moisture content, and consistency limits to determine the type of soil. Samples that were carried out 24 CBR tests and 24 permeability tests of the standard soil were extracted and with the dosages of 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% of sediment and then to the best percentage of the mixture add 2%, 4% and 6% lime. From the results it was obtained that when adding the sediment to the soil the best percentage was 70% soil and 30% sediment with a value of 1.82 gr/cm2 for the maximum dry density and 10% optimum moisture content, values that have obtained from the Modified Proctor test; values of 26.5% and 28% for the 95% and 100% CBR assay respectively. On the other hand, when adding the percentages of lime to the best combination of soil - sediment, the result was that the dosage of 6% presented better results, giving values of 1.85gr/cm2 and 7.9% of optimal moisture content, for the test. Modified Proctor's; values such as 42% and 45% for the 95% and 100% CBR assay; and values of 3.10x10-5 for the permeability test.
