Determine if there are differences between health workers and the general population in the perception of risk and behavior related to the spread of COVID-19, in the province of Trujillo, during the pandemic. Material and Methods: The study was observational, analytical, cross-sectional; The sample was 235 health personnel who worked to combat COVID-19, as well as 272 individuals as the general population. The type oftechnique used was the survey and the instruments were used to measure risk perception and behavior during the pandemic in both groups. These date were analyzed using Pearson’s chi-square test. Results: There were 29.8% of health workers who presented a high level of risk perception, compared to 15.1% of respondents who belong to the general population. Conclusion: There is a significant difference between health workers and the general population in the perception of risk and behavior related to the spread of COVID-19
