Objective: To analyze the factors associated with the development of anemia in infants from 6 months to 3 years of age in the CRED program of Minsa in the district of La Unión. Methodology: The present study is a cross-sectional, analytical, observational study. The population consisted of all the infants enrolled in the CRED program of the Minsa in the District of La UNION, during the year 2019, totaling 1008. The sample consisted of all infants aged 6 months to 3 years attending the CRED program, with a total of 271 children. The technique used was the data collection form based on medical records. The database was recorded in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and then processed using the SPSS V23.0 statistical package to obtain a univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Results: Binary logistic regression showed that the variables associated with the presence of anemia in infants aged 6 months to 3 years in the district of La Unión were: gestational age (p=0.006), intestinal parasitosis (p=0.001), lack of prophylactic treatment for parasitosis (p=0.001), lack of drinking water (p=0.024) and lack of sewage (p=0.000). Conclusion: Four out of ten children aged 6 months to 3 years in the district of La Unión had anemia. The factors associated with the presence of anemia in infants aged 6 months to 3 years in the district of La Unión were: lower gestational age, the presence of intestinal parasitosis, failure to administer prophylactic treatment for intestinal parasitosis, and deficiencies in basic water and sewage sanitation.
