Asociación del apoyo familiar y adherencia al tratamiento del adulto con diabetes mellitus tipo II- Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo 2019

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación fue de tipo descriptivo correlacional de corte trasversal, tuvo como objetivo determinar la asociación entre el apoyo familiar y la adherencia al tratamiento del adulto con Diabetes Mellitus tipo II del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo, 2019. La muestra estuvo conformada por 60 adultos con Diabetes Mellitus tipo II que acudían al Programa de Diabetes, de dicho nosocomio, a quienes se les aplicó dos instrumentos, un cuestionario para determinar el apoyo familiar y el otro cuestionario para adherencia al tratamiento. Los resultados encontrados fueron que el 76,67% de los participantes tuvieron apoyo familiar y el 23,33% no lo tuvieron; asimismo la adherencia al tratamiento de los participantes fue de 73,33%, y la no adherencia fue 26,67%. Se concluyó que el apoyo familiar se encuentra asociado significativamente a la adherencia al tratamiento del adulto con Diabetes Mellitus tipo II del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo, demostrándose significación estadística con la prueba de chi cuadrado, con un valor de p= 0,05.

The present research work was of a cross-sectional descriptive correlational type, with the objective of determining the association between family support and adherence to the treatment of adults with Type II Diabetes Mellitus of the Trujillo Regional Teaching Hospital, 2019. The sample consisted of 60 adults with Type II Diabetes Mellitus who went to the Diabetes Program of that hospital, to whom two instruments were applied, a questionnaire to determine family support and the other questionnaire for adherence to treatment. The results found were that 76.67% of the participants had family support, and 23.33% did not have it; also the adherence to the treatment of the participants was 73.33%, and the nonadherence was 26.67%. It was concluded that family support is significantly associated with adherence to adult treatment with Type II Diabetes Mellitus of the Trujillo Regional Teaching Hospital, showing statistical significance with the chisquare test, with a value of p = 0.05.
