This research thesis was carried out in the district of Laredo, on the roads that connect the population centers of Conache, Campiña de Conache, Pampas de San Juan and La Rinconada, with the main objective of determining the structural thicknesses that make up the layer of flexible pavement, applying the AASHTO 93 Methodology for the design of flexible pavements and in turn extracting and analyzing data from the current conditions of the zone. For this design project, the bases and guidelines mentioned in the Road Manual: Soils, Geology, Geotechnics and Pavements 2013 were followed, taking into account in the same way the National Building Regulations: CE Standard 0.10 Urban Pavements. Which allowed to determine the required thicknesses of each of the layers of the flexible pavement. To evaluate the vehicular traffic presented by our road under study, it was necessary to divide it into two sections Conache-Campiña de Conache and Conache-La Rinconada. Having in this way two counting stations and, therefore, two designs. For the first section, a total number of equivalent axles of 1'072,782.6 was obtained and for the second section a value of 1'656,952.70. Likewise, soil mechanics studies were carried out for paving purposes whose results were a critical CBR of 6.7% for the first section and a CBR of 4.0% for the second section. To be designed, a stabilization by soil replacement was applied to the subgrade, obtaining an improved CBR of 22.7%, which is suitable for paving. In the same way, the predominant soil was obtained, which is of the type of a poorly graded sandy according to the AASHTO classification. Finally, it is concluded that for both sections the thicknesses required for each layer of flexible pavement correspond to 9 cm for the asphalt folder 20 cm for the base and 25 cm for the subbase. And having a direct cost of S/.6’725,198.13.
