The main purpose of this research was to determine the improvement in oral production in the English foreign language through the use of English-speaking songs as a didactic strategy for students at the basic level in the Language Center of the National University of Trujillo in the present year. The sample consisted of 25 university students who continue their learning of the foreign language of English in the Language Center of the National University of Trujillo. In the same way, we worked with a pre-experimental test design worked with a single group, applying a pre-test and post-test, which allowed us to collect data for the research, using the rubric as an oral production evaluation instrument in English; Which allowed us to evaluate the students before applying the didactic strategy (pre-test) and after the application of the same (Post test). It was determined as a result that the use of English-speaking songs as a didactic strategy has a significant influence on the level of oral production in the English foreign language in the students of the basic level of the Language Center of the National University of Trujillo in 2019.
