The research presented below was carried out in the Daniel Hoyle Urbanization located between Santa, America Norte, Union and Federico Villarreal avenues, and is of the descriptive - applied type. The main objective of this research work is to determine the structural design of the rigid pavement and pluvial drainage, Trujillo District, Trujillo - La Libertad, in order to mitigate the problem of flooding in rainy seasons and its consequences in the pavement. The rigid pavement was designed using the AASHTO-93 methodology. For this, it was necessary to carry out basic preliminary analysis such as the soil mechanics study, in which it was determined that the type of soil found in the study area is poorly graded sand (SP) that has a design CBR of 14.8% (good quality). Moreover, the traffic study was carried out on Federico Villarreal Avenue in order to determine the number of equivalent axes for a 20-year design period, which resulted 13´379,525. In the case of urban pluvial drainage, it was designed based on the parameters established in the OS.060. standard. In order to carry out this design we obtained the topography of the area. After this we were able to acquire the historical pluviometric records of the Laredo station, and with the help of the HYDROIILA software the hietogram of the project (Precipitation vs Time) was obtained. Having already calculated the hietogram, we proceeded to perform the modeling in the SWMM program. The results obtained in the design of the rigid pavement were a thickness of concrete slab MR=42 kg/cm2 of 23 cm and 15 cm of granular material subbase. In the case of pluvial drainage, were delimited 29 sub-basins where 29 drainage boxes are connected through 40 pipes, which go from drainage box number 1 to the exit. The lengths of the pipes vary from 28.41 to 297.67 meters, the diameters from 0.40 up to 1.00 meters and the slopes from 0.50% to 4.18%. It is concluded with this research that the proposed rigid pavement design and urban storm drainage system will solve the current problem of the poor pavement conditions and flooding in rainy seasons.
