To determine the association of dyslipidemia and obesity for the manifestation of drowsiness in workers of a mining company in Sechura - Piura in the year 2020. Methodology: Cross-sectional analytical study, 112 workers were surveyed, to whom the drowsiness scale of Epworth during the interview and the values of total cholesterol, triglycerides and body mass index (BMI) of the occupational medical examination were taken. Associations were determined by odds ratio and chi-square, averages with Student's T. Multivariate analysis was performed with significant factors in the bivariate analysis. Results: the average age is 33.37 years, the most frequent occupational group were workers, 24.2% of the workers presented drowsiness, the mild degree being the most frequent. Dyslipidemia was present in 53.6%, hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia were present in 42 and 20.5%. The average BMI was 27.4 kg/m2 and obesity was present in 53.6%. In the bivariate analysis, there was no significant difference in age (p=0.207). The administrative ones represented 44.4% of the workers with drowsiness (p=0.003). Dyslipidemia was present in 70.4% of workers with drowsiness (OR: 2.55, p=0.045). Cholesterol greater than or equal to 200 mg/dl was present in 59.3% (OR: 2.53, p=0.037), both being significant factors. The average BMI was significantly higher in those who had drowsiness (28.48 and 27.06 kg/m2, respectively, p=0.029), with obesity being a factor associated with drowsiness (44.4% in those affected and 16.5% in workers without drowsiness, p=0.003). ). Conclusion: The multivariate analysis determined that being administrative (ORa: 6.33, CI95%: 1.83-21.74) and having obesity (ORa: 3.5, CI95%: 1.2-10.19), are associated factors for the manifestation of sleepiness in workers of a mining company
