Prevalencia de Fasciola hepatica en niños de la I.E. 80712, distrito de Usquil – región La Libertad

Abstract

Con el propósito de determinar la prevalencia de Fasciola hepatica en escolares del distrito de Usquil, región La Libertad, se colectaron 61 muestras de heces provenientes de niños comprendidos entre 6 a 16 años de edad, el procesamiento se realizó en el laboratorio de parasitología de la escuela de Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, utilizando la técnica coprológica de sedimentación rápida de Bearmann. Se determinó una prevalencia de 8.20% de Fasciola hepatica, no encontrándose asociación significativa por género y edad respectivamente.

In order to determine the prevalence of Fasciola hepatica in schoolchildren of the district of Usquil, La Libertad region, 61 fecal samples were collected from children between 6 and 16 years of age, the processing was performed in the parasitology laboratory of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the Antenor Orrego Private University, using the coprological technique of fast sedimentation of Bearmann. A prevalence of 8.20% of Fasciola hepatica was determined, and no significant association was found by gender and age, respectively.
