Medical records of pregnant women are reviewed, collecting obstetric, clinical and sociodemographic information. The prevalence ratios with their respective 95% CI were estimated using simple and multiple Poisson regression. Results: According to the degree of instruction, 65% had secondary, 21% primary; In addition, 73% were cohabitants. The number of previous pregnancies ranged from 0-8, the number of previous abortions ranged from 0-6. 60.49% presented hypertensive disorder of pregnancy, 27.79% with obstetric hemorrhage and 20.71% presented sepsis. The average adjusted ratio of hospital stay increases by 1.01 for each year of maternal age (p=0.010). Conclusions: In the study population, maternal age was associated with a longer hospital stay in the Intensive Care Unit; regardless of marital status, number of previous pregnancies and number of previous abortions. The main causes of alteration in admission were hypertensive pregnancy, obstetric hemorrhage and sepsis.
