Abstract: La presente investigación tiene como objetivo general determinar la relación entre
el duelo y el estado de ánimo en familiares de pacientes fallecidos por Covid-19 en
Trujillo, el tipo de investigación sustantiva y diseño descriptivo correlacional, con una
muestra no probabilístico de 150 personas bajo el criterio de recolección de los familiares
de personas fallecidas por covid-19 en la ciudad de Trujillo, durante el año 2020 – 2021.
Los instrumentos de recolección de datos fueron el cuestionario “Inventario de Duelo
Complicado” (IDC) de Limonero et al. (2009) y “Escala de Valoración del Estado de
Ánimo” (EVEA) de Sanz (2001). Los resultados obtenidos indicaron que el 45.3% de los
evaluados perciben un duelo complicado, por otro lado, referente a los estados de ánimo,
la mayoría de participantes presentaron un nivel medio, en tristeza- depresión un 47.3%,
en ansiedad un 46.7%, en ira – hostilidad un 52.0% y en alegría un 42.7%. Para el análisis
correlacional se utilizó el estadístico rho de Spearman, obteniéndose como resultado una
relación significativa entre duelo y los estados de ánimo (tristeza= .580, p<.01; ansiedad=
.509, p<.01; ira hostilidad= .538, p<.01; alegría= -.193, p<.05
The general objective of this research is to determine the relationship between grief and mood in relatives of patients who died from Covid-19 in Trujillo. The type of research is substantive and descriptive correlational design, with a non-probabilistic sample of 150 people under the collection criteria of relatives of people who died from Covid-19 in the city of Trujillo, during the year 2020 - 2021. The data collection instruments were the questionnaire ““Inventario de Duelo Complicado““ (IDC) by Limonero et al. (2009) and ““Escala de Valoración del Estado de Ánimo““ (EVEA) by Sanz (2001). The results obtained indicated that 45.3% of those evaluated perceive complicated grief; on the other hand, regarding mood states, most participants presented a medium level, 47.3% in sadness-depression, 46.7% in anxiety, 52.0% in anger-hostility and 42.7% in happiness. For the correlational analysis, Spearman's rho statistic was used, obtaining as a result a significant relationship between grief and mood states (sadness= .580, p<.01; anxiety= .509, p<.01; anger-hostility= .538, p<.01; happiness= -.193, p<.05)
