Abstract: El presente estudio tuvo la principal intención de “Determinar la
correlación entre la Asertividad y el Cima Social Escolar en adolescentes de
una institución educativa de Piura”, donde la muestra fue de 218 adolescentes
de una institución educativa de Piura, empleando una muestra de 140
participantes. De acuerdo al tipo de investigación, el estudio fue tipo básica.
Respecto al diseño fue no experimental, sub diseño correlacional, en donde el
muestreo fue probabilístico aleatorio estratificado. Por otro lado, los
instrumentos empleados fueron el “Escala de Clima Social (ECS)”, construida
originalmente por R.H. Moos y E.J. Tricket (1984), y también el “Autoinforme de
Conducta Asertiva”, cuyos autores originales son García y Magaz (1996). Se logró
descubrir, gracias a los resultados, que existe relación entre asertividad y clima
social escolar en los adolescentes de una institución educativa. de Piura, es decir,
si un estudiante es poco asertivo, es muy probable que se deba a un clima social
escolar precario. No obstante, un estudiante puede mejorar su nivel de
asertividad si el clima social escolar fundamentalmente se conforma por el
intercambio de intereses y emociones positivas
