To determine the factors associated with anxiety in professional health personnel from COVID areas. Material and Methods: An analytical, sectional study was carried out. The study population consisted of 108 health workers according to inclusion and exclusion criteria distributed in 2 groups: with or without pathological anxiety; Odds ratio and chi square test were calculated. Results: No significant differences were observed for age group, gender, marital status, child under 10 years and extended family among staff with or without anxiety (p> 0.05). Hourly overload is not a factor associated with anxiety in health personnel froovem COVID areas, with an odds ratio of 1.34, which is not significant (p> 0.05). IMC ≥25 is not a factor associated with anxiety in health personnel from COVID areas, with an odds ratio of 1.32, which is not significant (p> 0.05). The occupational group is not a factor associated with anxiety in health personnel from COVID areas, with an odds ratio of 1.16, which is not significant (p> 0.05). Job dissatisfaction is not a factor associated with anxiety in health personnel from COVID areas, with an odds ratio of 1.23, which is not significant (p> 0.05). Lack of EPPS is a factor associated with anxiety in health personnel from COVID areas, with an odds ratio of 3.94, which was significant (p> 0.05). Not having an appointment is a factor associated with anxiety in health personnel from COVID areas, with an odds ratio of 3.34, which was significant (p> 0.05). Fear of dying is a factor associated with anxiety in health personnel from COVID areas, with an odds ratio of 7.61, which was significant (p> 0.05). Fear of social isolation is a factor associated with anxiety in health personnel from COVID areas, with an odds ratio of 3.29, which was significant (p> 0.05). Conclusions: Lack of PPE, having no appointment, fear of dying and fear of social isolation are factors associated with anxiety in professional health personnel from COVID areas.
