The present investigation corresponds to a descriptive correlational study, it was carried out with the purpose of determining the Sociocultural Factors associated with the Stress Level in Mothers with Preterm Infants in the Department of Neonatology. Hospital Belén de Trujillo, 2022. The sample consisted of 50 mothers of premature newborns. The data collection technique was the survey and the instruments used were a questionnaire on Sociocultural Factors and the Modified Maternal Stress Scale. The results obtained were: in relation to age, 50% are between 19 and 30 years old; 68% are cohabiting, 52% are housewives and 54% have a secondary education degree. It was found that the stress level of the mothers of hospitalized newborns was severe in 92%, moderate in 6% and mild in 2% and according to dimensions in the Aspect of the newborn it was 92%, in the Role of the Mother the 84%, in the ICU Environment 68% and in Staff Communication 56% have a severe level of stress. When relating the sociocultural factors with the stress level in mothers with premature infants, it was determined that there is a highly significant relationship only with the Sociocultural Occupation Factor; using the Chi square statistical test with p=0.022.
