Ajuste mental, según género, en pacientes con cáncer de un establecimiento de salud de la ciudad de Trujillo, 2021

Abstract

Este estudio tuvo como objetivo establecerla la diferencia del Ajuste mental, según género, en pacientes con cáncer de un establecimiento de salud de la ciudad de Trujillo, 2021. Se utilizó un diseño descriptivo – comparativo, con una muestra de 200 pacientes que padecen distintos tipos de cáncer, varones y mujeres, entre 25 - 50 años de edad, durante el periodo 2021, utilizando para su evaluación el Cuestionario del Ajuste Mental al Cáncer (MAC) Los resultados sobre el Ajuste Mental, según género, en pacientes con cáncer de un establecimiento de salud indican una predominancia de los niveles alto y medio a escala general, en ambos sexos, pero siendo el femenino quien obtuvo un mayor porcentaje en el nivel alto representado por el 54% de la muestra. Lo cual indica que el sexo femenino tiene una mejor adaptación frente a su enfermedad. Tiene más estrategias para afrontarla y mantener un estado adecuado en diversos ámbitos de su vida como son el cognitivo, emocional y conductual.

The objective of this study was to establish the difference in Mental Adjustment, according to gender, in patients with cancer from a health facility in the city of Trujillo, 2021. This indicates that the female sex has a better adaptation to their disease. He has more strategies to deal with it and maintain an adequate state in various areas of his life such as cognitive, emotional and behavioral
