The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between the knowledge and practices of the intensive care nurse regarding the monitoring of analgosedation in public hospitals in Trujillo, 2024. Basic, descriptive correlational type study. The sample was made up of 50 nurses who work at the Belén Hospital of Trujillo and the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo. A questionnaire was applied to measure knowledge and a checklist to evaluate practice. The results showed that 66% of the nurses have high knowledge regarding analgosedation monitoring, 20% low knowledge and 14% moderate knowledge. 72% of nurses show efficient practices regarding analgosedation monitoring while 28% show deficient practices. Concluding that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and practices regarding the monitoring of analgosedation by the intensive care nurse since it was found that the significance value (Sig.) is 0.000, less than 0.05. Therefore, if there is a Spearman correlation (Rho), therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and the research hypothesis is accepted, the correlation was high positive (0.708).
