In this research work, the structural state will be determined using the AASTHO method in Santa Cruz and San Miguel streets in the Sullana district. In this case, the current status of the section under study will first be determined using the PCI method, since it is one of the best known and most widely used methodologies for both flexible and rigid pavements. Thus, an inventory of all the existing pathologies of the study sample was carried out, which in total are 788 damages. Likewise, the calculation of the PCI was determined, giving a quantitative value of 14, which according to the classification range is ““Very Bad““. Thus, the repair option is to carry out a structural design using the AASHTO method in the two study streets. The purpose of the research is to analyze the current situation of the road and carry out the structural design to improve both its serviceability and passability, fulfilling the requirements required for a design according to the AASHTO methodology. In the development process, the current vehicular flow with a projected useful life of 20 years was considered, as well as the characteristics of the foundation soil determined through laboratory tests destined to paving samples taken in the area. Information compiled has been carefully processed so that this report can be used as a reference for future avenue construction projects and larger research papers. Regarding the highest vehicular flow, it occurs in the afternoon and the average number of vehicles currently exceeds the capacity of the road, while the foundation soil is regular, with low levels of CBR, thus having pavement layers have a higher thickness. In summary, the design was specified that the flexible pavement comprises an asphalt layer with a thickness of 11 cm, for the base 30 cm and for the sub base 26 cm, according to the AASHTO 93 methodological guide; without the need for land improvement
