The purpose of this research work was to propose an inventory management model for the spare parts and tools warehouse; and thus an increase in the economic profitability of the ELKY SAC Transportation and Investment company can be achieved. For the development of the investigation, the records of the demand, prices and costs of the last three years were collected; the Pareto analysis was carried out for the classification of inventories, selecting Class “A“; Likewise, the costs of inventories and the economic profitability of the current model of the company were determined. Subsequently, the demand forecast was made, using various forecasting methods for class A; the projected data were the units demanded by the spare parts and tools warehouse. Likewise, the number of units to order was determined per item, the safety stock using a confidence level of 95% since the current service level of the company is 83%, it was established to use the EOQ model because the coefficient of variability of the products was below 20%, which justifies this method. Finally, it was determined that the economic profitability of the proposed model reaches an economic profitability; with an increase of 33.40% compared to the current model with a profitability of 22.40%.
