This thesis project consisted of a “Proposal for the design of a drinking water and sanitary sewer system for the El Progreso farmhouse, applying mathematical formulas and the use of WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS software”, which would allow us to search for an alternative solution to the problem. That the Progreso farmhouse has in basic services. Currently the hamlet has a potable water network in poor condition, generating the shortage of drinking water in most of the homes, and the poor state of latrines in a certain part of the population, causing health problems in the population. The proposal consisted of designing a potable water and sewerage system. In the drinking water system, the construction of a slope type catchment was considered, the installation of 2334.60 ml. of pipeline, the construction of 5 chambers breaks T-6 pressure in the pipeline, the construction of a circular reservoir of 25 m3, the installation of 80.00 ml. of adduction line, the installation of 1735.26 ml. of distribution network, the construction of 2 chambers breaks T-7 pressure and the installation of 160 household connections. In the sewage system, the construction of 38 mailboxes, the installation of 1,533.83 ml were considered. of sanitary sewer networks, the installation of 155 household connections and the construction of a Septic tank. Regarding the design of the drinking water system, gravity was proposed without a treatment plant, the first was determined by the topography of the area and the location of the homes considered, and the second by the quality of the supply source, meeting quality standards. of the MINSA. The hydraulic designs of the conduction, adduction line and the distribution network were carried out using the WaterGEMS software, which allowed us to obtain satisfactory results in the design. In the sewage system, the hydraulic modeling of the main and secondary networks of the sanitary sewer system was carried out using the SewerGEMS software, obtaining satisfactory results for the design.
