OBJECTIVE: Determine the factors associated with early mortality in patients treated with CKD who start emergency hemodialysis at the Hospital de la Amistad Perú-Corea Santa Rosa II-2 between January 2020 and December 2021 in Piura, Peru. MATERIALS AND METHODS: An observational, retrospective case-control study will be carried out, in which 118 patients were included. A bivariate analysis was run to find associations using the Chi square test of independence and a multivariate analysis using logistic regression. RESULTS: According to the bivariate analysis, the variables that showed statistical significance (p<0.05) were: age [p-value: 0.001 and OR 3.6], gender [p-value: 0.003 and OR 3.1], sepsis [p-value: 0.000 and OR 3.8], obstructive uropathy [p-value: 0.000 and OR 3.5], TAM [p-value: 0.016], leukocytes [p-value: 0.000], sodium [p-value: 0.000]. However, the multivariate analysis finally found that patient age [p = 0.029], low hemoglobin values, glomerular filtration rate [p = 0.033], Hct [p = 0.014], leukocytes [p = 0.007], sodium [p = 0.006], potassium [p = 0.031], can be considered as factors associated with mortality, leaving aside the other variables. CONCLUSION: The risk factors associated with early mortality were age >60 years, low hemoglobin levels, glomerular filtration rate <15 ml/min/1.73m^2, hematocrit <35%, leukocytes >11 x 10 9/L, sodium < 135 mEq/L and potassium < 3.5 mEq/L
