OBJECTIVE: Determine if demographic, socioeconomic factors and personal pathological history are associated with non-tuberculosis mycobacteriosis infection 2019-2020 MATERIAL AND METHODS: A retrospective cross-sectional analytical study with a population consisting of patients with records of suspected tuberculosis diagnosis. The sample will be probabilistic, including all cases with non tuberculous mycobacterial results. Results: Significant findings were revealed. Although there were no differences in incidence between genders, statistically significant associations were identified with age, occupation, animal husbandry, and pathological backgrounds such as smoking, obesity, asthma, and immunosuppression. The diversity of non-tuberculous Mycobacterium strains underscores the epidemiological complexity. It is suggested to implement age-specific strategies, workplace surveillance, awareness programs on animal husbandry, and targeted approaches for risk factors such as smoking and obesity. Conclusion: Sociodemographic and personal backgrounds are associated with non-tuberculous mycobacterial infection in 2019-2020
