The purpose of this study was to increase shareholder profitability in the INDUPERSA SAC company's operations area, where the fundamental problem was evidenced in the high maintenance costs that lead to unplanned shutdowns in the process. The study began by using Pareto analysis to establish the sample, whose unit of analysis was the maintenance costs of each machine in the process. Then, the analysis of costs and operating expenses of the company was carried out, to structure the income statement without replacement and determine the economic and shareholder profitability of 6.29% and 4.54% respectively, so an opportunity was evident in order to increase these indicators, taking as a reference that maintenance expenses exceed the book value of the assets. Afterwards, economic and financial study was carried out based on operating leverage by replacing assets in the operations area, which resulted in an economic and shareholder profitability of 15.46% and 11: 25%. Finally, a relevant income statement and replacement cash flow were made to demonstrate the positive impact of the project, obtaining a shareholder profitability of 6.83% and a shareholder TIR of 243%, which supported the viability of the project.
