The present research work details the geophysical study carried out by the Bachelors Hernández Torres, Mayra and Serrato Liñán, Oswaldo for the Dynamic Characterization of the soil of the New Industrial Park Project of Trujillo, which consisted of carrying out seismic refraction tests and multichannel analysis of surface waves (MASW) in the area where the industrial park is planned to be built. The geophysical investigation was intended to estimate the thickness of the strata of the materials that make up the subsoil and calculate the dynamic parameters of the materials that make up the foundation by interpreting the data obtained during execution. To carry out the tests, a 24-channel seismograph and a 20-pound rope were used as a source of energy to generate seismic waves, with a total of 2 seismic refraction tests with a total length of 240 m. each and 2 MASW trials with a total length of 120 m. each. The interpretation of the data recorded in the geophysical tests allowed to characterize the subsoil by generating body wave profiles, with a maximum depth of investigation of 50m, which indicated that the subsoil of the area where the construction of the new industrial park is projected Trujillo has three strata: the first presents compressional velocities (Vp) that vary from 800 to 1100 m / s and cut-off velocities (Vs) that vary from 471 to 615 m / s that would correspond to a loose soil with a thickness ranging from 0 to 10m, the second presents compressional velocities that vary from 1100 to 1700 m / s that would correspond to a moderately dense to dense soil with a thickness ranging from 10 to 30 m, the third presents wave speeds that vary from 1700 to 2400 m / s that would correspond to a dense soil made up of compact alluvial material.
