The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between crown- radicular caries and salivary pH of older adults who attend the Integral Center for the Elderly Adult of Hope. Materials and methods: A prospective, cross-sectional, descriptive and observational study was conducted. A total of 121 adults over 60 years of age were evaluated, of which 72 had root caries; with at least 10 teeth The Katz Radicular Caries Index (ICR) was used to evaluate the presence of dental neck caries and MColorpHastTM pH measuring tape to determine salivary pH. Results: It was found that older adults had an ICR of 21.4%, in the age groups, from 60 to 65 years old 21.6%, from 66 to 75 years old 19.4% and more than 75 years old 23.4%; the salivary pH found was 6.5, according to age groups 6.2, 6.7 and 6.5 respectively. Conclusions: It was found that there is a statistically significant relationship between Radicular Caries and salivary pH in the Elderly.
