Nivel de conocimiento sobre manejo odontopediátrico en pacientes con síndrome de down en estudiantes de estomatología Trujillo, 2022

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre manejo odontopediátrico en pacientes con síndrome de Down en estudiantes de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, Trujillo 2022.

Materiales y Métodos: Este estudio fue observacional, de corte transversal. Se evaluaron a 119 estudiantes de estomatología del 7mo al 10mo ciclo, para lo cual se empleó un cuestionario presencial previamente validado por 8 expertos con 20 preguntas cerradas obteniendo un índice de confiabilidad Alfa de Cronbach de 0.8404, se utilizó estadística descriptiva e inferencial para analizar los resultados.

Resultados: Se encontró que el nivel de conocimiento sobre manejo odontopediátrico en pacientes con Síndrome de Down en los estudiantes de estomatología fue 68.07% insuficiente, 26.89% suficiente, 4.20% bueno y 0.84% sobresaliente. Los estudiantes de 7mo obtuvieron un 73.33% insuficiente y un 26.67% suficiente, mientras que los de 8vo tuvieron un 70.37% insuficiente y un 27.78% suficiente, los de 9no obtuviero un 60.0% insuficiente y 26.67% suficiente y finalmente los de 10mo obtuvieron un 60.0% insuficiente y un 25% suficiente. Los varones mostraron un 57.14% insuficiente y mujeres 71.43% insuficiente.

Conclusión: El nivel de conocimiento sobre manejo odontopediátrico en pacientes con Síndrome de Down de los estudiantes de estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, fue insuficiente con un 68.07%, siendo el 7mo y 8vo ciclo con menor nivel de conocimiento.
