Telemedicine is one of the most important technological advances in current medicine, which consists of providing medical attention, whether it is consulting, monitoring and treatment of patients, through the use of mobile applications or web pages. During pregnancy, prenatal control is necessary, giving priority to care, in those with pregnancies with some pathology involved, so telemedicine allows this monitoring to take place from the comfort of your home, avoiding the mobilization and hospitalization of the pregnant woman. In this work, the efficiency of telemedicine in pregnancy monitoring is exposed. MATERIAL AND METHOD: A bibliographic search was carried out in the Pubmed Database, LILACS, Scopus, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar. The main search term on the topic was: (“Telemedicine” OR “Telehealth” OR “Telecare” OR “Telemonitoring” OR “Telemedicine” OR “Telehealth” OR “Telecare” OR “Telemonitoring”) AND (“Prenancy” OR “ pregnancy ”) AND (“ Prenatal control ”OR“ Prenatal control ”); between July 16 and 29, 2020 of the last 03 years. RESULTS: The number of preliminary search results was 182 results, of which 28 articles were finally selected. CONCLUSION: Telemedicine through the use of applications or the web is efficient in the monitoring of both low and high-risk pregnancy and even in hypertensive disorders and gestational diabetes mellitus, as long as all the optimal conditions exist, which gives us the benefit of keep the pregnant woman monitored from her home, thus obtaining a meticulous follow-up of her, avoiding absenteeism in appointments as occurs in traditional prenatal care.
