The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between social skills and resilience in students of the first year of high school of a State Educational Institution - Florencia de Mora; using for its evaluation the scale of Social Skills of Elena Gismero Gonzales, adapted in the year 2006 by the Ps. Cesar Ruiz Alva in Trujillo and the scale of Resilience for Adolescents (ERA) of Mónica del Aguila Chávez and Rodolfo Prado Álvarez, standardized in 2004 by Roxana Mercedes Aponte in Trujillo. The present study has a transectional - correlational design. We worked with a sample of 212 students of the first year of high school of a State Educational Institution of the district of Florencia de Mora. The results show that the study group, in terms of Social Skills, predominates the middle level with 39.2%, followed by the high level with 37.3% and the low level with 23.6%, referring to the levels of Resilience. that 39.2% present a medium level, 36.8% a high level and 24.1% a low level. Likewise, according to the results obtained from the Spearman correlation test, it can be evidenced that there is a highly significant correlation (p <.01) and a direct relationship between Social Skills and Resilience at a general level and with its dimensions: Independence, Interaction, Humor, Initiative and Creativity.
