The present research work, part of the situational diagnostic analysis regarding the existing problem in the District of Castilla - Piura, which currently has a poor infrastructure of the Maternal and Child Health Center (CESAMICA), this being one of the main establishments of health care, with coverage not only in the District of Castilla but also in its surroundings, however this establishment, being more than 60 years old, already has problems in the deterioration of its physical infrastructure, which has repercussions on the care provided to different patients, especially pregnant mothers and newborn children, thus directly affecting the quality of maternal and prenatal care, which is one of the factors that increase maternal and infant mortality, so based on the study carried out, the need for the design of a new infrastructure for the Maternal Health Center is verified o Infantile with Category I – 4, according to an architecture that meets the spatial, functional and therapeutic quality standards, thus achieving the optimization of the different medical and curative processes. That is why, thanks to the type of descriptive research that was developed, both the problem and the objectives to be achieved were justified, thus obtaining, as results, the architectural program, which was developed taking into account the requirements of the Technical Standard. of Health No. 113, thus adapting it in a conceptual architectural model, in response to this, the proposal was made for the application of different architectural criteria both in formal and spatial volumetric design, to be developed in the health establishment, which is focused not only in being able to comply with the design guidelines already stipulated, but also to implement new architectural strategies in order to make an establishment functional, friendly, therapeutic and innovative. The results of the research determined the relationship between architecture, health care and health, architecture being a fundamental conditioning factor for the transformation of spaces that have a favorable impact on the functionality of this Health Center (CESAMICA), thus seeking to satisfy the needs and improve the quality of life of the occupants.
