The objective of this research work was to determine the prevalence of the cystic endometrial hyperplasia – pyometra complex in female dogs and its associated factors, in the District of Víctor Larco Herrera, Trujillo-Peru. A total of 95 patients were evaluated, including healthy and sick dogs. Data such as age, weight, race and body condition were collected. The data were obtained through clinical evaluation and ultrasound, and then a statistical analysis was performed using the Chi-square test. According to the results taken from the analysis, the prevalence of the HEQ-P complex could be determined to be 62.1%. Regarding the associated factors, age and body condition had statistical significance (p≤0.05), using the Chi square test, with female dogs over 7 years of age and “ideal” body condition being the most prevalent; while size, weight and race did not have statistical significance (p≥0.05). It is concluded that HEQ-P complex is prevalent in the Víctor Larco-Trujillo district and is influenced by associated factors such as age and body condition
