To compare the depth of polymerization of Z350 XT and Palfique LX5 composite resins with Bluephase N and ValoTM Grand LED lamps. Methodology: The present cross-sectional, comparative, prospective and experimental study included a total of 80 resin cylinders. Following the ISO 4049 standard, stainless steel formers with an internal cavity of 4 x 6 mm were manufactured and the resin cylinders were made, the depth of polymerization was determined by measuring the final length of the resin cylinders with a digital micrometer. To compare the depth of polymerization, ANOVA, Tukey and Student's t test were used; with a significance level of 0.05. Results: No differences were found between resins (p = 0.057), nor in the interaction of resins and lamps (p = 0.271), but there was a difference between lamps (p = 0.047). The greatest depth of polymerization was obtained in the Z350 XT with Bluephase N (2,436 mm), being statistically different only from that obtained in the Palfique LX5 with ValoTM Grand (2,273 mm). Conclusion: When comparing the depth of polymerization of two composite resins with different LED lamps, the difference is only between Bluephase N with Z350 XT and ValoTM Grand with Palfique LX5; where the first combination presented higher depth of polymerization; so there is no complete evidence to accept HO.
