The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between stress and academic procrastination in students of a police school in northern Peru, with a substantive, cross sectional, descriptive and correlational method, managing the SISCO academic stress inventory, prepared by Arturo Barraza Macías ( 2007) in Mexico, adapted by Quito (2019) in Lima; and the academic procrastination scale (EPA), prepared by Busko (1998), being validated by Domínguez (2016) in Lima, and with psychometric properties by Contreras (2021) in the district of La Esperanza - Trujillo. Obtaining as a result that there is no relationship between the stress variable and the academic self-regulation dimension (p=.569; rho= -.039) and there is no relationship with the activity postponement dimension (p=.552; rho= -.041). , students perceiving a medium level (46%) of academic stress (SISCO) and at the dimensional level they denoted a medium level in stressors (44.1%), symptoms (44.6%) and coping strategies (43.7%). 3. In academic procrastination (EPA) at the dimensional level they denoted a medium level in academic self-regulation (42.7%) and postponement of activities (46.9%). Concluding that academic stress is not related to academic procrastination in students of a police school in northern Peru.
